What’s New at Redscope

Calling all budding bakers ...
On Thursday 6th April we will be having an Easter bake sale.
Please send your donations into school for the children to buy at playtime.
Many thanks for all your help!
In the last week of term we had lots of attendance treats. Some children watched a film as they had 100% attendance for last term. Remember to come to school every day to improve your learning and possibly win a prize,
Ofsted visited our school recently and have sent their report. They have judged the school to be a good one in all areas. We are really pleased that they spotted lots of positives. We are passionate about the education of your children and it is great that this is recognised by Ofsted.
If you would like to read a copy of the report then click on the 'Ofsted report' title above.

If you would like to register your views on parent view it is available all the time on our website. Look on the parent pages or the 'parent view' quick link.
Thank you for your continued support. It is a pleasure to educate your children.

Welcome

Welcome,
I am very pleased to introduce you to Redscope Primary School and Park View Children’s Centre.

We are extremely proud of our school, and your children are our greatest asset. We have “a very smiley school” and the school team always try to provide a caring family atmosphere where children feel happy and settled, and where everyone feels valued.

One of our Year 6 leavers commented, “At Redscope you always make good friends and the teachers are really friendly so you learn lots.”
Every effort is made to make school life interesting and exciting in the hope that pupils will respond by working hard and enthusiastically. Our curriculum covers many different areas but we firmly believe in the value of the basic subjects of reading, writing and mathematics. The classes are managed to ensure the progress of all pupils taking into account differing abilities and strengths and achievement is continually monitored.

I know that your child is special to you. I value all the children and the contribution they make to the school.

The staff and I look forward to working in partnership with you, to ensure your child grows in confidence, develops a positive attitude to learning, and embraces the school motto :-
“To be the best that we can be.”

Please see the links to our school's ethos and how we promote British values.

If you have any queries, concerns or ideas whilst your child attends our school please do not hesitate to contact myself or your child’s teacher.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs P Dobbin
Headteacher

Filey Visit

We had a fabulous day in Filey and the weather was lovely and warm. We enjoyed a fish and chip lunch in a restaurant and then walked to the Coble Landing for a talk with the RNLI. We looked at the rescue boats, their equipment and also spoke to a lifeguard about his role. Afterwards, we visited the gift shop and arcades. We then walked across the sea front and spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach. The children had fun playing in the sand, paddling in the sea and to finish the day off we all had a delicious ice cream.
